I apologise in advance…

… if I tend to harp now and again on Politics.

I came across the following – quite a while ago – can I hope you will like it as much as I did.

I hope also that you will see how this applies to our politicians who have sold our children’s inheritance to the EU. If we think about it, it probably describes a Commissioner or MEP rather well!

If ye love wealth better than liberty,

the tranquility of servitude better than the animating conquest of freedom,

go home from us in peace.

We ask not your counsel or arms.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.

May your chains set lightly upon you,

and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
