Fairytale of New York
Posted by Ampers in Uncategorized on Wednesday, 10 December 2008
Recorded by Shane Macgown and the Pogues, with guest Kirsty MacColl, There are many “posher” versions of them singing the song, but this version captures the whole essence of their, in my view, “masterpiece”. Listen, and if it doesn’t bring a tear to your eye, you have no soul.
Sniff!

Welcome to my blog
I write about an eclectic range of subjects, but mostly about politics so I thought it might be a good idea to explain where I am coming from. My present interests are Linux (I use Ubuntu), photography (I have downgraded from an DSLR to a Lumix TZ7) and modern technology.
I am a libertarian who believes in small government - preferably handling overseas matters and the army only. I prefer everything else to be carried out locally. Roads and buildings and the police by local government, and hospital, schools etc running themselves.
I do not vote for the three main parties as many of them have no real experience of commerce and are just out for what they can get. I have to vote so reluctantly vote for UKIP as I am totally against being run by an undemocratic EU. If MPs in marginal seats lose enough times because of the smaller UKIP vote, I hope the big parties will re-examine their approach to the EU.
You can email me on gmail you can easily work out my name! :-)
